What are the roles of graphic design in the public space? On january 2017 I walked exactly 1km in the Pyrenees (mountain), 1km in Parc del Llobregat (urban park), 1km in Barcelona, Poble Nou (city). I recorded the graphic signs from a citizen point of view, and applied icons according to the role of each sign. Walking in this quiet neighborhood of Barcelona one workday morning I was exposed to graphic signs the 55% of the time, crossed 97 people and 146 signs: 74 shop signs, 32 ads, 29 public signs ands 11 wall paintings.
